History
Ortho-Bionomy was developed by British osteopath Dr. Arthur Lincoln Pauls, DO in the early 1970’s, inspired by osteopathic non-force techniques, homeopathy, and Pauls’ practice of Judo. After deeply studying the positional release work of Lawrence Jones, DO, Pauls began to understand the body’s natural reflexive self-correcting mechanisms and applied his understanding in physical, structural and energetic techniques he called the Phased Reflex Techniques. After seeing that his own work had moved on from Jones' approach, Pauls coined the new name Ortho-Bionomy.The work is currently taught in the US, Canada, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand.
